Summer’s Coming

Summertime is here and that means Turkey season is over and Velvet bucks are right around the Corner!. We have just began to work on our farms and have started to bush hog trails and fields. In about three weeks we will bush hog the fields again and spray the annuals to kill everything to get ready to re-plant in September. We have only put a couple cameras out in Northeast Louisiana, but have already started to get pictures of a couple bucks that get our blood pumping! Its almost time to be in full deer mode! Get Ready!

A Buck of a Lifetime!

Holton Deer Hunts is hands down one of the best deer hunting ranches in West Texas.  Located in Abilene, Texas Paul and his family run a first class operation.  The bucks that are taken off this ranch each year are deer that most people have only ever dreamed about.  The deer that Kyle Barefield killed last year is no exception.  After rattling up bucks all day, Kyle decided to pass on several until this bruiser showed up.  As Kyle’s heart was racing, he slowly raised his Browning X-Bolt and squeezed the trigger to make a perfect shot.  Emotions are now at a all time high, as this was the biggest buck of his life, and once he put his hands on that deer no words could explain the emotions running through his mind.  This was A Buck of a Lifetime!!!
